With warm salmon tones kissed by a soft white sheen, 'Rilona' is a stylish twist on the classic Amaryllis. Its understated elegance makes it ideal for sophisticated holiday decor or to add a touch of charm to your winter windowsill. This variety is incredibly easy to care for and rewards you with tall, graceful stems topped with massive, trumpet-shaped flowers. Expect blooms within six weeks, and with proper care, 'Rilona' can make a return appearance the following winter.

IMPORTANT NOTE - Amaryllis are shipped mid October and all orders are shipped complete. If you live in a cold climate zone (0-4) order your Amaryllis SEPARATELY, otherwise your complete shipment, including other bulbs, will be delayed until mid October.

Amaryllis Planting & Care

(Amaryllis Rilona)

  • Plant amaryllis bulbs in pots indoors from mid to late fall for beautiful blooms in winter.
  • Choose a pot about 15-20cm across (ideally with a drainage hole at the bottom).
  • Using well draining soil, fill the pot half way.
  • Place the bulb in the pot so that the pointed tip faces up. Fill in around the sides of the bulb with soil.
  • Make sure the top third of the bulb (the "neck") sits above the soil.
  • Firm the soil gently around the bulb.
  • Give your bulb a good drink of water after planting - then hold back on watering until you see new shoots.
  • Once growth begins, keep the soil evenly moist - not soggy.
  • Place your amaryllis in a warm, bright part of your home.
