Narcissus, commonly known as daffodils, are hardy spring-flowering bulbs that produce vibrant, cheerful blooms. They are easy to grow, reliable, and return year after year when planted and cared for properly.

When to Plant Narcissus Bulbs

Plant Narcissus bulbs in fall, typically between September and November, before the ground freezes.

Narcissus Aftercare

Remove spent flower stems to tidy the garden
Leave foliage in place until it turns yellow and dies back naturally

Allowing the leaves to die back naturally enables bulbs to store energy for next year’s blooms. Cutting foliage too early reduces the nutrients returned to the bulb.
