Tranquility (Ausnoble) is a bare root English shrub rose bred by David Austin that produces beautiful, rounded blooms in soft, pure white, with neatly arranged petals forming elegant rosettes. The flowers have a light, fresh fragrance and are produced in generous clusters, with excellent repeat flowering throughout the season. This healthy, vigorous variety forms a bushy, upright shrub with attractive foliage, adding a clean, classic look to Canadian gardens from zone 5 to 11. Perfect for borders, beds, rose hedges, containers, cottage gardens, and cut flower arrangements, Tranquility brings graceful blooms, reliable flowering, and timeless English rose charm to any landscape.

Rose Planting & Care

(David Austin Rose - Tranquillity)

  • Rehydrate your rose. Unpack the rose quickly after receiving, trim 1/2" off the root tips and canes to keep them fresh.
  • Soak the roots up to the base of the cane for 2 hours - overnight.
  • Choose a site with a minimum of 4 hours of sun per day and dig a hole twice as wide as the root system and as deep as the roots (typically 16" wide x 16" deep)
  • Loosen the soil at the bottom the hole for better root growth then create a small mound in the base of the hole and drape the roots around it.
  • position the bud union (where shoots emerge) at ground level and backfill with the original soil. Lightly firm the soil around the plant.
  • Give the rose a good initial watering after plant and maintain regular watering. Keep the soil moist but not soggy.
