Blueberry ‘Top Hat’ is a dwarf, compact blueberry perfect for patios, containers, or small garden spaces. Growing just 2 feet tall, this self-pollinating variety produces firm, flavourful, dusky blue berries with a delicious wild blueberry taste. Its neat mounded shape is covered in white spring blossoms, and the foliage turns a striking red in fall, adding seasonal interest to any garden.

Blueberries thrive in acidic soil, so container planting is ideal if your garden soil isn’t suitable. Mulch with pine needles, wood chips, or acidic peat and keep well-watered for best results. While self-fertile, planting two shrubs can improve fruit size and yield. Enjoy a late-summer harvest of fresh, homegrown blueberries perfect for snacking, baking, or preserving.

  • Continue to water as needed keeping the soil moist but not waterlogged.
