A breathtaking Japanese tree peony producing large, fragrant, semi-double to double blooms in soft lavender-pink that fade to silken pastel edges. Growing as a woody shrub reaching about 90 - 150cm tall with a 120cm spread, it delivers dramatic spring blossoms followed by lush green foliage all season. ‘Kamada-nishiki’ thrives in full sun to part shade and well-drained soil—ideal for garden borders, foundation plantings, or as a standout flowering shrub.

Spring Planting Guide

  • Choose a location with good sun exposure (generally 6-8 hours of sun per day in the summer).
  • Plant after the last spring frost when soil has warmed up and the roots will thrive.
  • Loosen soil and dig a hole about twice as deep a the plant. 
  • Cover the plant with soil and water well to ensure it gets a good start.
  • Continue to water as needed keeping the soil moist but not waterlogged.
