‘Bluecrop’ thrives in well-drained, acidic soil, making container planting ideal if your garden soil isn’t suitable. Mulch with pine needles, wood chips, or acidic peat, and maintain consistent moisture for best results. Winter care includes pruning twiggy, damaged, or crossing branches, while avoiding heavy pruning on plants younger than three years. Vaccinium Planting & Care

(Blueberry Bluecrop)

  • Choose a location with good sun exposure (generally 6-8 hours of sun per day in the summer).
  • Plant after the last spring frost when soil has warmed up and the roots will thrive.
  • Loosen soil and dig a hole about twice as deep a the plant. 
  • Cover the plant with soil and water well to ensure it gets a good start.
  • Continue to water as needed keeping the soil moist but not waterlogged.
