Dahlia ‘Bluetiful’ is a dreamy informal decorative dahlia with soft lavender-periwinkle blooms that bring cool-toned elegance to garden borders, containers, and cutting gardens. Its ruffled petals and generous flower size add refined colour and texture to summer and fall landscapes.

This variety grows to about 100 cm (40 inches) tall with strong stems, making it an excellent choice for cut flower production or mixed planting schemes. Blooming from mid-summer until the first frost, Bluetiful delivers long-lasting performance in full sun and well-drained soil.

Planting & Care

Dahlia Planting Guide

  • Choose a sunny location that receives at least 6–8 hours of direct sunlight daily for strong growth and abundant blooms.
  • Plant dahlia tubers after the danger of frost has passed and the soil has warmed, as cold, wet soil can cause tubers to rot.
  • Loosen the soil well and dig a hole about 6 inches deep. Place the tuber horizontally with the eye facing up.
  • Cover with soil and water lightly at planting. Avoid heavy watering until new growth appears.
  • Once shoots emerge, water regularly, keeping the soil evenly moist but never waterlogged.
