Ranunculus, also known as Persian Buttercups, are famous for their lush, double blooms that bring brilliant colour to garden beds, borders, and containers. Each plant produces multiple long-lasting flowers in stunning shades of yellow, gold, red, pink, white, orange, and even soft pastel picotees.

Closely related to Anemones, these hybrid camellia-flowered buttercups are loved for their elegance, versatility, and abundance of blooms — a true garden showstopper.

Ranunculus Planting & Care

(Ranunculus Mix - Spring Planting)

  • Choose a location with good sun exposure (generally 6-8 hours of sun per day in the summer).
  • Plant after the last spring frost when soil has warmed up and the roots will thrive.
  • Loosen soil and dig a hole about twice as deep a the plant. 
  • Cover the plant with soil and water well to ensure it gets a good start.
  • Continue to water as needed keeping the soil moist but not waterlogged.
