This upright begonia forms a tidy plant while its elegant flowers gently drape over containers, window boxes, and patio planters for a graceful, layered look. Perfect for partial shade, it adds warmth and sophistication all season long. Start tubers indoors 4–6 weeks early for best performance. Not frost hardy—lift and store tubers in fall.

Begonia Planting & Care

(Begonia Novelty Splendide Ballerina)

  • Choose a location with partial shade or light shade where begonias will be protected from harsh mid day sun.
  • Plant after the last spring frost when soil has warmed up and the roots will thrive.
  • Loosen soil and dig a hole about twice as deep a the plant. 
  • Cover the plant with soil and water well to ensure it gets a good start.
  • Continue to water as needed keeping the soil moist but not waterlogged.
