Aconitum napellus ‘Album’, commonly known as White Monkshood, is a striking perennial featuring creamy white, hood-shaped flowers that bloom from summer into autumn. Its tall, strong stems rise above glossy, dark green foliage, creating a dramatic architectural presence in shaded borders, woodland gardens, and perennial beds. This deer-resistant perennial thrives in full sun to partial shade with consistently moist, well-drained soil and rarely requires staking. Long-flowering and perfect as a cut flower, Album returns each year, growing stronger and more impressive. Please note that all parts of the plant are poisonous, particularly the roots. This may be why it is also considered deer resistant!
