The Albrighton Rambler (Ausmobile) is a bare root English rambling rose bred by David Austin that produces masses of small, fully double, cup-shaped blooms in soft blush pink, gradually fading to blush white. The flowers are held in large, gracefully hanging sprays, with beautifully arranged petals surrounding a charming button eye and a light musk fragrance. Unusually for a rambler, The Albrighton Rambler is a repeat-flowering variety, providing waves of delicate blooms throughout the season. This vigorous, medium-sized rambler can reach approximately 12 feet tall and is perfect for arches, pergolas, fences, walls, and pillars, bringing an abundance of romantic colour and graceful movement to Canadian gardens.

Rose Planting & Care

(David Austin Rose - The Albrighton Rambler)

  • Rehydrate your rose. Unpack the rose quickly after receiving, trim 1/2" off the root tips and canes to keep them fresh.
  • Soak the roots up to the base of the cane for 2 hours - overnight.
  • Choose a site with a minimum of 4 hours of sun per day and dig a hole twice as wide as the root system and as deep as the roots (typically 16" wide x 16" deep)
  • Loosen the soil at the bottom the hole for better root growth then create a small mound in the base of the hole and drape the roots around it.
  • position the bud union (where shoots emerge) at ground level and backfill with the original soil. Lightly firm the soil around the plant.
  • Give the rose a good initial watering after plant and maintain regular watering. Keep the soil moist but not soggy.
