Introducing, Tulip Columbus, new to our Premium Collection of fall bulbs. 

Tulip Columbus is a stunning double early tulip with large, peony-shaped blooms that demand attention. Its pointed raspberry-pink petals are beautifully edged in creamy white, creating a striking contrast that stands out in any spring display. Blooming early on strong stems, Columbus reaches about 35–40 cm tall and is a favourite for cut flower arrangements.

Our Premium Collection of bulbs offer stunning, hard to find varieties that are treasured by gardeners. Often prized as collectors items, these varieties are scarce and available in limited quantities. Make sure to order early!

Planting & Care

Tulip Planting Guide

  • Tulips are cold-hardy and thrive outdoors through the winter. For optimal results, plant them anytime from October through mid-December. If your bulbs arrive earlier in the season (like September), store them in a cool, dry, and rodent-proof place until the weather cools enough for planting.
  • You can plant tulip bulbs directly into garden beds or outdoor containers.
  • For gardens with dense or clay-heavy soil, improve drainage by mixing in generous amounts of compost and coarse sand or grit.
  • Choose a location that gets full sun or partial/dappled shade.
  • Plant each bulb 15–20 cm deep, ensuring the pointed tip is facing upwards.
  • In containers, space bulbs about 10 cm apart for a full, lush look. In garden beds, you can space them slightly farther apart if desired.
